Frequently Asked Questions
What is kinesiology?
Kinesiology is a gentle, holistic modality that uses muscle testing to identify where stress is held in the body — physically, emotionally, mentally or energetically. Rather than focusing only on symptoms, we explore the deeper patterns that may be keeping you feeling stuck, and work together to restore balance and flow.
Do I need any experience with kinesiology to book?
Not at all! Many of my clients come with no prior knowledge of kinesiology. All you need is an open mind and a willingness to explore. I'll guide you through everything at your own pace.
How long is a session?
Adult sessions are 90 minutes. Paediatric sessions for children up to 12 years are 60 minutes. If you have questions about bringing your child, please don't hesitate to reach out — I'm happy to chat through what they might need before you book.
Do you offer online sessions?
Yes! Online sessions are available for anyone in the world using surrogate muscle testing. Many clients find online sessions feel just as deep and settling as being in the room together.
Is kinesiology suitable for children?
Yes — I offer gentle 60-minute paediatric sessions for children up to 12 years. A parent or guardian must be present for the duration of the session. You may also be greeted by Teddy, my Moodle, who has a natural gift for helping children feel at ease. 🐾
Where are you located?
My practice is in Alstonville, NSW. I serve clients across the Northern Rivers including Ballina, Lennox Head, Byron Bay, Bangalow, Mullumbimby and Lismore. My full address is provided upon booking. Online sessions are available worldwide.
How do I book a session?
You can book directly through my website at graceemclean.com. Simply choose your session type, select a time that suits you, and complete the booking form. Payment is made securely online at the time of booking, or in person on the day.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session begins with a gentle conversation about what brings you in and what you'd like to explore. From there I'll use muscle testing to identify where stress may be held and what your body needs to feel more balanced. Sessions are always at your pace — there's nothing you need to prepare or do beforehand. Just come as you are.
How many sessions will I need?
Every person is different. Some clients feel a significant shift after one session, while others benefit from ongoing support over time. We'll talk about what feels right for you as we go — there's no pressure or obligation to commit to a set number of sessions.
Is kinesiology covered by health insurance?
Kinesiology is not covered by Medicare or private health insurance. Sessions are paid in full at the time of booking — online via Stripe or in person by card or cash on the day.
